Direction to Counsel (from Justice Barnes)
Upon having reviewed the email dated June 29, 2016 of ABKCO and Casablanca requesting to extend all deadlines for another two weeks, the Tribunal grants the request.
Further to the Direction of April 14, 2016, the Tribunal now directs the parties to notify the Tribunal and the Canadian Music Publisher Association (CMPA) if they are unable to reach a settlement on or before July 13, 2016. In that event a case management conference will be convened. In the meantime the CMPA is granted leave to hold its proposed intervenor motion in abeyance. It will have 5 business days to file the motion upon receipt of the above notice.
