COMPETITION TRIBUNAL CONSENT ORDER REGARDING STAY OF DIVESTITURE ORDER AND CONTINUATION OF CONSENT INTERIM ORDER

The Director of Investigation and Research v. Southam Inc. et al.

FURTHER TO the appeal filed by the Director of Investigation and Research in the Federal Court of Appeal under No. A-1093-92 in respect of the Reasons and Order rendered by the Tribunal on June 2, 1992;

AND FURTHER TO the appeal filed by the respondents in the Federal Court of Appeal under No. A-1668-92 in respect of the Reasons and Decision Regarding Remedy rendered by the Tribunal on December 10, 1992 and the Order Regarding Divestiture dated March 8, 1993 made pursuant thereto;

AND FURTHER TO the Consent Interim Order dated March 18, 1991, as corrected by the order dated March 22, 1991 and as varied by the Order Varying Consent Interim Order dated November 24, 1992, which orders are attached hereto as Schedules "A", "B" and "C", respectively;

AND FURTHER TO the consent of the parties, filed herein;

THE TRIBUNAL ORDERS THAT: 1. The execution of the Order Regarding Divestiture shall be stayed pending the disposition of the said appeals.

2. The Consent Interim Order, as corrected and varied, shall continue in full force and effect pending the disposition of the said appeals.
