ORDER GRANTING AN EXTENSION OF THE PERIOD OF TIME TO SERVE AND FILE A RESPONSE
[1] FURTHER TO an application filed by the Commissioner of Competition (“Commissioner”) on November 28, 2024, against Google Canada Corporation and Google LLC (together, “Google”) under section 79 of the Competition Act, RSC 1985, c C-34 (“Application”);
[2] AND FURTHER TO a motion from Google dated December 19, 2024, seeking an extension of the period of time to serve and file a response to the Application beyond the 45 days set out in Rule 38 of the Competition Tribunal Rules, SOR/2008-141;
[3] AND CONSIDERING that Rule 5 of the Competition Tribunal Rules states that time limits prescribed by these Rules may only be extended by an order or a direction of a judicial member;
[4] AND CONSIDERING the consent of the Commissioner to an extension of the period of time for Google to serve and file its response to the Application until February 14, 2025;
THE TRIBUNAL ORDERS THAT: [5] The period of time for Google to serve and file its response to the Application is extended to February 14, 2025.

No costs shall be awarded for this motion.
