COMPETITION TRIBUNAL ORDER GRANTING STAY OF CONSENT ORDER DATED JANUARY 29, 1997 ____________________________________________________________________________

Dennis Washington et al. v. Director of Investigation and Research FURTHER TO the notice of motion filed on December 2, 1997 by the applicants Dennis Washington, K & K Enterprises, Seaspan International Ltd., and C.H. Cates and Sons, Limited ("Applicants") seeking a stay of the Consent Order of the Tribunal, dated January 29, 1997 ("Consent Order"), and an extension of the time for compliance provided in paragraph 6 of the Consent Order;

AND ON CONSIDERING the consent of the Director of Investigation and Research; THE TRIBUNAL ORDERS THAT the Consent Order shall be stayed until the Tribunal finally disposes of the Applicants' notice of application to vary the Consent Order filed on December 1, 1997. This order shall be without prejudice to the Applicants' right to apply for a further stay should it be necessary.
