WITNESS STATEMENT OF ANTONIO PERLUZZO
I, Antonio Perluzzo, a Competition Law Officer with the Competition Bureau (the “Bureau”), of the City of Terrebonne in the province of Quebec, make this witness statement in support of the Commissioner of Competition’s application for an Order pursuant to sections 74.01 and 74.1 of the Competition Act, RSC, 1985, c C-34 and AFFIRM AS FOLLOWS:
1. I have been employed by the Bureau since March 2014. I work out of the Bureau’s Montreal office, in Quebec, and am a member of the Bureau’s Deceptive Marketing Practices Directorate. My work responsibilities include investigating and collecting evidence related to deceptive marketing practices.
2. On or about June 28, 2023, I received instructions from Adam Zimmerman, a Senior Competition Law Officer at the Bureau’s headquarters in

Gatineau, Quebec, to conduct in-theater monitoring at two Cineplex movie theaters of my choice in Montreal, Quebec.
3. On July 5, 2023, I took the photograph of a sign in the Cinéma Starcité Montreal, located at 4825 avenue Pierre-de-Coubertin, Montreal, Quebec, attached as Exhibit A to my affidavit.
